A Bit About Stan Bennett

Stan was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  After graduation from Middle Tennessee State University, he served as a U.S. Marine for twenty years, retiring as lieutenant colonel.  After leaving military service he earned dual law and master of business degrees at Cumberland School of Law and Brock School of Business, at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

While in law school Stan worked as a law clerk in the office of Justice Thomas Woodall, Supreme Court of Alabama.  He later relocated to Murfreesboro to serve as law clerk to Chancellor Robert E. Corlew, III, in the Chancery and Circuit Courts.  Before establishing the Law Office of Stan Bennett, he practiced insurance litigation and criminal defense at McClellan, Powers, Ehmling, and Rogers, P.C., located in Gallatin and Murfreesboro.

Stan’s current practice is primarily dedicated to civil litigation and criminal defense matters throughout Middle Tennessee.  He also practices in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims, in Washington DC, handling appeals pro bono for veterans and families who file cases in that court.
